The current version of the XSL specification is 1.1, which was released by W3C in December 2006. The specification defines the XSL syntax for expressing stylesheets for XML documents. 

The specification is a lengthly document, which consists of more than 400 pages. It covers the following main chapters:

  • Property Refinement
  • Formatting Objects
  • Formatting Properties
